About the Role

Patient Care Coordinators are the first friendly face patients see, playing an instrumental role in greeting and supporting patients during registration, ensuring comprehensive documentation, and verifying insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and guiding patients
  • Addressing phone calls
  • Registering patients in the electronic medical records system
  • Scanning and updating electronic medical records
  • Processing and verifying insurance coverage and collecting patient responsibility
  • Explaining ModernMD’s services and processing, addressing questions as needed
  • Performing follow-up calls as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Flu Vaccine, Proof of Covid Vaccination Card, and Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in urgent care
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills
  • Team player who takes initiative and maintains a professional demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of organization
  • Strong knowledge of technical skills associated with certification and job function
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple managers and key stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
