About the Role
As a Veterinary Receptionist at BluePearl Pet Hospital, you will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive compassionate care and attention during emotional and difficult times. You will manage client interactions, assess patient needs, and provide support with professionalism and empathy.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and professionally.
- Maintain an approachable demeanor with a friendly smile and strong eye contact.
- Listen compassionately to clients.
- Communicate clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone.
- Assess client and pet needs upon arrival.
- Determine the urgency of emergency arrivals.
- Respond to non-patient calls and visitors, connecting them to the appropriate team member.
- Confirm appointments in advance, providing accurate preparation information.
- Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients discreetly.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies for pet remains handling.
Requirements

- $21.50 - $29.50 + competitive shift differentials
- Shift differentials based on a 4-hour minimum
- Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.50 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.50 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $8.00 Shift Differential
