About the Role
We are seeking a Developer Relations Engineer to create content developers will value and build relationships within the open source and API tooling ecosystem. This role serves as a liaison between Bruno and its developer community, involving technical content creation, community engagement, conference representation, and collaboration with other companies.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging technical content including blog posts, tutorials, videos, sample collections, and documentation.
- Manage the developer community on GitHub and Discord, triaging feedback and incorporating community insights into product development.
- Build partnerships with open source and API-centric companies for co-authored content, joint webinars, and integrations.
- Represent Bruno at conferences, meetups, and livestreams through talks, workshops, and product demonstrations.
- Ship code through example projects, integrations, demo apps, and contributions to Bruno.
- Track content performance and community health to identify and amplify successful strategies.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence the roadmap based on community feedback.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, technical content, or software engineering with a strong public presence.
- A portfolio showcasing developer-facing content such as blog posts, videos, talks, open source projects, or courses.
- Hands-on technical skills including coding, building demos, and explaining APIs, Git, and modern development workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clarify complex topics.
- Experience engaging open source communities on platforms like GitHub or Discord.
- Self-directed and capable of owning projects from start to finish in a startup environment.
