About the Role

Ares is seeking a Hospitality team member for our Corporate Services team in New York. The Corporate Services team provides best-in-class support for all office operations and employee amenities within our new 8 floor, Class A office in midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain best-in-class presentation and display across Ares pantry, restroom, wellness, and other common areas.
  • Stock and maintain all beverages (coffee, cold brew, tea, sodas, etc.) in pantries.
  • Stock and maintain all perishables and nonperishables (dairy, fruit, snacks and refrigerated snacks, etc.) in pantries.
  • Inventory, stock, and restock supplies across common areas.
  • Implement best practices in pantry cleanliness and inventory management, including "First In, First Out," active management of expiry dates, and commercial office-level cleaning standards.
  • Perform ongoing dishwashing, stocking, and crockery replacement on assigned floors.
  • Wash dishes across multiple floors and in multiple pantries continuously throughout the day.
  • Track overall dish count and report when additional stock is needed.
  • Check pantry and restroom cleanliness, and wipe down counters and equipment as needed.
  • Perform monthly cleaning of appliances.
  • Perform weekly cleaning of dishware and snack cupboards/storage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish storage areas (drawers and cabinets).
  • Support catered meetings including catering and beverage setup, breakdown, and refresh.
  • Report facilities issues through proper channels to the larger facilities team.
  • Align with daily calendared meetings as assigned and independently execute support.
  • Requires physical effort and reaching above shoulder and below knee.
  • Help load and unload supplies as required.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic, timeliness, and the ability to be flexible and prioritize needs across pantries/kitchens.
  • Experience in food service, washing dishes, and cleaning, preferably with some experience in an office environment.
  • Dependable, great attitude, highly motivated, and a team player.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and demonstrates enthusiasm and flexibility.
  • Highly motivated work ethic, with timely and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to complete tasks and follow checklists to complete daily responsibilities.
  • Handle pantry duties and day-to-day issues independently with minimal supervision, assuming responsibility for core duties, and escalating appropriately.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Able to lift upwards of 50lbs+.
