About the Role
Koniag IT Systems, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to support KITS and our government customer at Stennis Space Center, MS. This position offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies while solving complex engineering challenges in support of our government clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable software solutions
- Write high-quality, well-tested code following best practices
- Integrate GIS components and spatial data into applications
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance
- Debug and optimize application performance
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Implement automated testing strategies
- Support deployment and maintenance of applications
- Participate in Agile development processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong background in object-oriented programming
- Experience with GIS software development
- Track record of successful software project delivery
- Must be able to work on-site at Stennis Space Center, MS
- Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one
