About the Role

Support families involved with Oneida County Family Treatment Court by helping them understand addiction, navigate treatment systems, and prepare for a loved one's return. Provide guidance and emotional support throughout the recovery process to build resilience and stability.

Responsibilities

  • Help families understand the progression of addiction.
  • Assist families in navigating insurance and treatment systems.
  • Prepare families for a loved one's return from treatment.
  • Provide guidance and emotional support throughout the recovery process.
  • Foster understanding, reduce stigma, and promote effective communication.
  • Help families rebuild trust and create a supportive environment for long-term recovery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in public relations, public speaking, program development and organization.
  • Working knowledge of substance use disorders and treatment, recovery and resources.
  • Working knowledge of human behavior, socio-economic problems and development.
  • Working knowledge of the progression of addiction and its impact on families.
  • Current and valid NYS driver license.
