About the Role

The Health Educator position provides psychoeducational and educational support to patients with pancreatic cancer participating in a pilot research study across multiple University of California campuses. This role involves educating participants on study procedures, reinforcing health concepts, facilitating access to resources, and promoting engagement. The position is limited with anticipated utilization of approximately three counseling sessions in the first year, with potential for adjustment.

Responsibilities

Provide psychoeducational and educational support to patients with pancreatic cancer.
Educate participants on study procedures, treatment, and supportive care interventions.
Reinforce key health and wellness concepts.
Facilitate access to educational and supportive resources.
Promote participant engagement throughout the research process.
Support participants across multiple UC sites.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of investigators, clinicians, and research staff.
Ensure consistent delivery of patient-centered education.
Contribute to the successful implementation of research initiatives.
