About the Role
As a Sprinkler Inspector, you will be part of our Advanced Test and Inspection Department, playing a key role in ensuring life safety systems perform as designed. You will inspect, test, and maintain a wide range of sprinkler and suppression systems, helping customers comply with NFPA 25 and local regulations. This role is ideal for someone steady, detail-focused, and comfortable working in the field, involving customer site visits, equipment checks, operation verification, documentation, and discussing system conditions and next steps.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, testing, and routine maintenance on fire sprinkler systems in line with NFPA 25 and local regulations.
- Evaluate system performance, verify device and valve operation, and accurately record test results.
- Identify code deficiencies, potential hazards, and system impairments, providing clear recommendations for repairs.
- Coordinate inspection schedules with customers and communicate findings straightforwardly.
- Collaborate with sales teams to transition inspection findings into repairs or upgrades.
- Respond to service calls and emergency needs, including occasional night, weekend, or short-notice work.
- Maintain company tools, testing equipment, and vehicle.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while representing Encore professionally.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience inspecting or maintaining fire sprinkler systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical training preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 25, NFPA 13, and applicable building and fire codes.
- Ability to read blueprints, riser diagrams, and system schematics.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, or nights as needed.
