Requirements

• Familiarity with patent databases and search tools.
• Active registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (for patent agent role).
• Active bar admission in California (for patent attorney role).
• Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in molecular biology or a closely related discipline, or a B.S. with significant post-graduate laboratory or industry experience.
• Experience drafting patent applications directed to in vitro diagnostic assays.
• Familiarity with immunoassays, CRISPR-based assays, nucleic acid sequencing and quantification, and related probes, kits, and reagents.
