About the Role
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has an immediate opening for a Business Development Specialist within the global Strategy & Marketing team. This role supports the Senior Manager or Director of Business Development for assigned practices, executing business development plans, creating marketing content, monitoring market news, and assisting with lateral partner onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Working with lawyers in assigned practices to execute business development plans, initiatives and activities
- Creating, customizing and regularly updating pitch documents, directory submissions and other marketing content
- Monitoring business, legal and geopolitical news to identify potential opportunities
- Assisting with business development tasks related to onboarding and integration of assigned lateral partners
- Executing and conducting follow up with respect to client events and webinars, as well as other thought leadership campaigns
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in professional services or law firm business development
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Collegial, collaborative and team player attributes
- Self-starter who thrives on juggling numerous high visibility projects on fast timetables
- Ability to handle high-pressure environments
- Strong to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Some knowledge of applications specific to the legal field
