About the Role

Join our Toronto office for approximately 16 weeks in the Summer of 2027 (May to August) to collaborate with internal stakeholders, fellow strategy analysts, Data Scientists, and Product Managers. You will identify solutions for problems or processes, gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and communicate recommendations to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze trends in fraudulent credit card applications and transactions to enhance models and tools, aiming to reduce fraud costs and minimize negative cardholder experiences.
• Develop a framework for customers to benefit from alternative card products, enhancing overall customer value while considering additional costs and credit risk.
• Build a challenger model to an existing model that predicts customer credit card spending, assessing if a simpler model can achieve sufficient business value to replace the complex one.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from an accredited University with an expected graduation date in or after December 2027.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree/master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic, ever-changing environment; being flexible and open to new ideas and requirements.
