About the Role
As the leader of the kitchen, you will be the culinary expert responsible for maintaining pristine operating conditions. You will select and motivate back-of-house employees and manage costs to ensure the financial success of the location. You thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted restaurant/entertainment environment, inspiring your team and handling high-volume days with an average of 50-hour work weeks. You enjoy new menu rollouts and improving guest and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the head coach for BOH employees, responsible for hiring, training, developing, and retaining the team.
- Create and maintain a well-maintained, safe, secure, and sanitary environment for guests and staff.
- Manage food costs, track waste, and control kitchen labor costs.
- Understand, manage, and practice safe food-handling procedures.
- Collaborate with the management team to drive financial results and optimize location profitability.
Requirements
- Must be 21+ years of age.
- Possess 3+ years of Restaurant/Hospitality experience.
- Proficient in managing the cost of goods sold and labor.
- Ability to lead a team to create a memorable guest experience.
- Proven experience in kitchen management.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, noisy environment with distracting conditions.
