About the Role
Catholic Health is seeking a Full-time CAT Scan Technologist to join their team at Good Samaritan University Hospital. This role involves performing various clinical and research procedures, producing and evaluating CT images, and managing medication oversight including contrast media delivery.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of clinical and research procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Produces and evaluates CT images for technical quality.
- Properly identifies images and patients.
- Effectively uses judgment for protocols and procedures.
- Manages medication oversight, including documentation of contrast media delivery.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology.
- ARRT registration and NYS DOH Radiology license required.
- Certified to inject contrast.
- One year of Diagnostic Experience required.
- Knowledge and working experience in Computerized Axid Tomography preferred.
- Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures and JCAHO/regulatory agency requirements.
- BLS required - American Heart Association accepted only.
