About the Role
The Risk & Compliance Business Partner will support senior members of the Risk & Compliance Business Partner Team in providing advice, oversight, and challenge on issues and risks. This includes involvement in new product development, business models, and functional processes, as well as facilitating periodic risk assessments within the Enterprise Risk Management framework.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for risk, compliance, or governance queries.
- Support senior members of Solution Lines/Business Areas in providing advice, oversight, and challenge on issues and risks.
- Facilitate periodic risk assessments in line with the Enterprise Risk Management framework.
- Liaise with other risk and compliance areas to ensure business access to the right second-line resources.
- Build enduring relationships with key business stakeholders and promote a risk & compliance aware culture.
- Build awareness of key regulatory changes and support impacted areas through design and implementation.
- Support and contribute to the Business Partner Team strategy and wider Risk & Compliance initiatives.
- Work in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and policies.
- Participate in the management of risks that may adversely affect the business, interests, or reputation of any Group Company.
Requirements
- General awareness of the international sanctions landscape.
- General awareness of international (re)insurance licensing requirements or overseas regulation criteria.
- Dynamic and proactive personality with energy and enthusiasm.
- Confidence and credibility to work collaboratively with senior management and directors.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness, general business acumen, and basic strategic planning.
- Attention to detail, excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and include key stakeholders and take positive action effectively and diplomatically.
- Early to mid-career experience working with an international re/insurance intermediary, its business, and processes.
- Recent experience working in 'digitalisation change' projects, e.g., use of common AI applications to improve the distribution of financial services/insurance products.
