About the Role

Responsibilities

• Directly assess patients' nutritional status and intervene with appropriate medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and/or diet education to improve, maintain, or optimize nutrition status.
• Document patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and committee meetings.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new employees.
• Participate in the clinical education of dietetic interns.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC/CBORD preferred.
• Must have completed a post-graduate supervised, Commission on Dietetics Registration approved dietetic internship program.
• Must have successfully passed the National Registration Examination for Dietitians to become a Registered Dietitian (RD).
• Certification with New York State (CDN) is required within 1 year of the start date.
