About the Role
Pinterest runs one of the largest visual discovery platforms, and we are undertaking an ambitious infrastructure project to break out of a single region and provider. This foundational shift will enable Pinterest to scale further, faster, and more resiliently. This role will be central to this initiative, owning execution across programs that reshape how and where Pinterest runs its workloads at massive scale.
Responsibilities
- Sit at the center of one of Pinterest's highest-visibility infrastructure bets, owning execution across a portfolio of programs that are fundamentally reshaping how and where Pinterest runs its workloads at massive scale.
- Turn ambiguity into a real, trusted operating system for the program, including a shared decisions log, risk registry, and delivery tracker.
- Act as the connective tissue across compute platform, networking, security, and traffic engineering teams, identifying and resolving cross-team collisions.
- Shape the technical decision tenets that will govern Pinterest's infrastructure expansion for years to come.
- Own the staffing and capacity conversation, translating a fast-moving roadmap into resourcing asks for leadership.
- Serve as the storyteller for the program, distilling complex, multi-team efforts into sharp executive updates.
- Thrive in ambiguity, influencing the shape of a program that is still being built.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a technical program manager or related experience, with a track record of owning outcomes.
- Significant experience leading large, cross-functional infrastructure programs with company-level impact.
- Experience in the room where hard tradeoffs are made and contributing to those decisions.
- A bias for resolving cross-org conflict rather than escalating it.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure expansion, cloud platform migrations, or high-growth serving infrastructure is strongly preferred.

- Strong technical judgment in cloud infrastructure: cross-region/cross-provider networking, service identity, container orchestration, and deployment pipelines.
- Executive-caliber communication, able to turn messy, technical, multi-team problems into crisp narratives.
- Excellent judgment balancing speed, reliability, security, and cost in evolving technical spaces.
- Ability to drive decisions across teams that do not report to you.
