About the Role
This role develops, deploys, and owns the RTL-to-GDSII methodology the IP physical design team runs on, ensuring a working flow for new blocks, nodes, or customer variants.
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and own the RTL-to-GDSII methodology.
- Build and scale EDA automation for AI accelerators and high-performance CPUs on advanced FinFET/GAA nodes.
- Optimize EDA flows using ML-driven techniques and custom CAD development.
- Partner with EDA vendors to influence their roadmaps.
- Manage multi-variant, multi-foundry IP delivery.
- Ensure flow readiness to meet customer commit dates.
Requirements
- 5+ years developing and supporting physical design methodology or CAD flows in production use.
- Expertise with industry-standard tools (FusionCompiler/ICC2, Innovus/Genus, PrimeTime, RedHawk).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Tcl, Python, Perl).
- Deep understanding of advanced node methodology.
- Knowledge of low-power intent (UPF/CPF).
- Experience with clock tree synthesis.
- Familiarity with signoff procedures (EM/IR, DRC/LVS).
- Experience establishing flows for new technology nodes, PDKs, or foundry targets.
- Experience qualifying new EDA releases.
- Ability to document flows clearly for others to use.
- Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology.
