About the Role

Syska Hennessy Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Graduate for an entry-level opportunity to support engineering teams in creating inspiring, demanding, and highly collaborative designs for landmark projects worldwide. Responsibilities

  • Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer.
  • Learn drawing organization and company standards.
  • Perform CAD/BIM-drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes to understand architectural engineering design and documentation.
  • Coordinate with the designs of other trades under the guidance of more senior technical staff.
  • Support the design and engineering efforts for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement, and system upgrades.
  • Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments.
  • Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits.
  • Observe and attend project coordination meetings.
  • Participate in and attend EDT program training sessions and support activities.
  • Attend Engineering Development Program continuing education seminars on technical and professional enhancing topics.

Requirements

  • Enjoy a team environment and be flexible enough to work independently.
  • Be eager to learn and expand knowledge and hands-on experience.
  • Challenge yourself and utilize highly technical resources.
  • Previous engineering internship is a plus.
  • FE and EIT are preferred.
