About the Role
Syska Hennessy Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Graduate for an entry-level opportunity to support engineering teams in creating inspiring, demanding, and highly collaborative designs for landmark projects worldwide. Responsibilities
- Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer.
- Learn drawing organization and company standards.
- Perform CAD/BIM-drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes to understand architectural engineering design and documentation.
- Coordinate with the designs of other trades under the guidance of more senior technical staff.
- Support the design and engineering efforts for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement, and system upgrades.
- Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments.
- Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits.
- Observe and attend project coordination meetings.
- Participate in and attend EDT program training sessions and support activities.
- Attend Engineering Development Program continuing education seminars on technical and professional enhancing topics.
Requirements
- Enjoy a team environment and be flexible enough to work independently.
- Be eager to learn and expand knowledge and hands-on experience.
- Challenge yourself and utilize highly technical resources.
- Previous engineering internship is a plus.
- FE and EIT are preferred.
