About the Role

As a Quality Engineer I, you will provide support to operational and development programs to enable and deliver zero defect projects utilizing engineering and problem-solving skills. This role also supports the development and implementation of quality processes and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also assist with inspections, testing, non-conformance management, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Support writing procedures and collecting/analyzing data.
Support the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system (AS9100, AS13100, NADCAP).
Support the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Utilize Quality Engineering tools like PFMEA, Measurement System Analysis, and Control Plans to monitor and improve internal processes.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of quality issues and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Assist in evaluating supplier performance and quality, supporting supplier audits, and developing quality improvement plans.
Resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality by working closely with production, engineering, and other departments.
Participate in continual improvement activities such as 5S, Kaizen, and LEAN to enhance the quality system.
Support Quality Inspectors to ensure products and processes comply with quality management system and customer requirements.
Create and maintain company quality documentation, including quality manuals and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, Material Science or Metallurgy.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
