About the Role
As a Quality Engineer I, you will provide support to operational and development programs to enable and deliver zero defect projects utilizing engineering and problem-solving skills. This role also supports the development and implementation of quality processes and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also assist with inspections, testing, non-conformance management, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support writing procedures and collecting/analyzing data.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system (AS9100, AS13100, NADCAP).
- Support the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Utilize Quality Engineering tools like PFMEA, Measurement System Analysis, and Control Plans to monitor and improve internal processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of quality issues and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and quality, supporting supplier audits, and developing quality improvement plans.
- Resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality by working closely with production, engineering, and other departments.
- Participate in continual improvement activities such as 5S, Kaizen, and LEAN to enhance the quality system.
- Support Quality Inspectors to ensure products and processes comply with quality management system and customer requirements.
- Create and maintain company quality documentation, including quality manuals and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, Material Science or Metallurgy.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
