About the Role
Incumbent decontaminates, operationally checks, assembles, and distributes surgical instrumentation, implants, supplies, and equipment for the OR, Nursing Units, and Ancillary Departments. Incumbent maintains documentation related to these duties. Incumbent operates and maintains sterilization equipment, decontamination equipment, and computer systems related to these duties. This position requires the flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Responsibilities
- Decontaminates surgical instrumentation, implants, supplies, and equipment.
- Operationally checks surgical instrumentation, implants, supplies, and equipment.
- Assembles surgical instrumentation, implants, supplies, and equipment.
- Distributes surgical instrumentation, implants, supplies, and equipment to the OR, Nursing Units, and Ancillary Departments.
- Maintains documentation related to decontamination, checking, assembly, and distribution duties.
- Operates sterilization equipment.
- Maintains sterilization equipment.
