About the Role

The Parts Counterperson at DELLA Auto Group is responsible for timely and accurate processing of parts orders and providing exceptional customer service. This role supports the service center and sales teams by maintaining an efficient parts inventory.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone promptly and friendly.
• Accurately identify and locate required parts based on customer needs.
• Utilize computerized inventory system to check parts availability and place orders.
• Collaborate with service technicians to determine correct parts for repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of parts orders and sales, including tracking back-ordered and special order items.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand.
• Process returns and exchanges according to company policies.
• Keep the parts department and work area clean and organized.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous parts counter experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions from manuals and electronic sources.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and procedures.
• Proficiency with computer systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
