About the Role
Saratoga Eagle Sales & Service, Inc. is seeking a Beverage Merchandiser in Amsterdam and surrounding areas. This role offers opportunities for growth into sales positions. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work and customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet store owner or manager to review specific instructions.
- Display merchandise that meets customer needs, emphasizing selling points.
- Place new merchandise on display based on salesman instructions.
- Organize customer back rooms.
- Repackage damaged packages and replace on shelf or cooler.
- Monitor and update shelf tags.
- Take inventory of stock and report low volumes and out-of-stock situations.
- Assist with resets as needed.
- Maintain current and themed P.O.S. to ensure maximum account coverage.
- Adhere to all standards in the sales manual (rotation etc.).
- Check voicemail 3 to 4 times daily and communicate with drivers and salesmen regularly.
Requirements
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation throughout the workday.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to frequently stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 250 pounds.
- Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Frequent work in a refrigerated atmosphere.
- Travel to various client accounts, such as convenience stores and grocery stores.
