About the Role
This role involves preparing project documentation, generating cost estimates, performing architectural calculations, and supporting architectural design activities. You will also assist with drawing preparation, redline markups, 3D imaging, and code evaluation procedures. Coordination with team members and construction phase support are key aspects of this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare project documents including plans, details, and initial setup work.
- Generate takeoffs for cost estimates.
- Perform architectural calculations to support design activities.
- Gather and record information for cost estimating and specifications.
- Support studies and reports.
- Assist with the preparation of routine technical reports.
- Assist with sheet setup on project drawings, including schedules, plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications.
- Assist with picking up redline markings on drawings and completing work.
- Prepare 3D imaging using proprietary software.
- Learn basic code evaluation procedures and information gathering requirements.
- Coordinate work with other team members.
- Provide project support during construction, including submittal tasks, RFIs, and supplemental work.
- Utilize effective communication skills for internal communications and presentations.
- Participate in the submittal review process.
- Perform assigned presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
- 2 years of relevant experience in architecture.
- 2 years of experience in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
- 2 years of experience in Revit.
- 2 years of experience in SketchUp.
- 2 years of experience in graphic software including AutoCad, Enscape, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- May undergo background checks including drug screen and motor vehicle record check.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
