About the Role
Support Employee Benefits Account Executives in coordinating projects and interfacing with clients and carriers to ensure exceptional customer service. This role involves account maintenance, issue resolution, and preparation of various client-facing materials.
Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Account Executives & Account Executives with daily client management issues.
- Perform account maintenance including updates to client files, scanning and attachment of plan documents, Benefit Point, etc.
- Assist in the resolution of common account issues, i.e., claim, policy, eligibility, and service issues.
- Request, track, and upload Schedule As for client 5500 filings.
- Prepare Annual Notice packets for clients.
- Gather and sort benefit and census data for marketing, stewardship, persona, and smart view reports.
- Assist with marketing proposals, paperwork, and presentation preparation.
- Revise/edit and bind presentation materials as needed.
- Prepare open enrollment materials (C&D benefit guides, benefit spot mobile app, presentation, obtaining carrier collaterals).
- Assist with open enrollment meetings and client meetings as necessary for clients and prospective clients.
- Assist with coordination of Seminars, as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers and clients.
- Manage benefit portals, i.e.; TouchCare, Employee Navigator, etc.
- Assist Client and Account Executives with creating client websites using HRConnections.
- Assist Client and Account Executives utilizing MyWave.
- Perform other administrative functions as needed by Senior/Account Executives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an Employee Benefits insurance environment.
- Valid Life & Health License.
- Basic analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate – Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Accurate and high attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and with a sense of urgency.
- Able to work well in a team environment.
- Employee may be required to stand for extended periods of time (ie seminars, meetings, etc.).
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds (office supplies and paper).
- Assist in the clean-up/straightening of Conference Room prior to or after EB meetings.
- Take personal accountability for contributions to organizational results.
