About the Role

Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the Registered Technologist (MRT) will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementation and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family centered care environment. The role involves performing the complete range of tests and procedures related to General Radiography, patient information registry and report preparation, and equipment maintenance. Candidates are expected to be willing to train in Computerized Tomography (CT) and complete CAMRT CT certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing, planning, implementation and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family centered care environment.
  • Performing the complete range of tests and procedures related to General Radiography.
  • Patient information registry and report preparation.
  • Equipment maintenance.
  • Willingness to be trained in full-line Computerized Technology (CT).
  • Successfully complete the CAMRT CT certification.

Requirements

  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario – Radiology
  • Scanning in CT head and renal colic experience preferred
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide service excellence and patient focused care
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and utilize critical decision-making skills
