About the Role
This position is an integral member of the CORE Engineering management team, serving as the primary contact for clients and overseeing daily property needs and vendor work. The role leads commercial cleaning operations, ensuring service commitments are met and the business exceeds budget and growth expectations. Responsibilities include scheduling, staff training, performance management, and meeting operational and sales expectations for the assigned market. The role also manages corporate expenses and drives revenue growth through upselling services to existing clients and assisting the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Setting up new vendors and sending tax-exempt forms.
- Creating monthly client packages.
- Processing vendor and subcontractor invoices.
- Ensuring the development of long-term strategy and sound annual business plans for growth.
- Overseeing daily operations, sales activity, budgets, and team personnel.
- Managing corporation expenses related to cleaning services, including delivery costs, labor costs, and supplies.
- Meeting regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify changing needs.
- Reviewing service delivery and staffing reports to identify issues.
- Analyzing processes and practices based on customer needs and service expectations.
- Meeting with company leaders to evaluate performance, enhance service effectiveness, and understand regulatory trends.
- Understanding all customer contract commitments and scheduling services accordingly.
- Allocating resources for customer sites and maintaining supply inventories.
- Meeting regularly with Operations and Sales staff, as well as customers, to monitor service delivery performance and identify deficiencies.
- Overseeing the recruitment, training, orientation, and development of cleaning staff.
- Interacting with senior level managers and ownership of current and potential clients to promote business.
- Performing other duties as needed by the company.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of progression in a janitorial or similar industry.
- Operations management and/or building/facilities management experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the cleaning service industry is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with building owners, senior management staff, clients, vendors, and staff.
- Effective problem-solving, leadership, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong business development experience, skills, and ideas.
