About the Role
We are hiring a Full-Time Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our high-performing clinical team in a fast-paced orthodontic environment where precision, organization, and accountability matter. You will work directly alongside orthodontists, support clinical efficiency, and help deliver safe, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA and established clinical guidelines
- Prepare precise tray setups for orthodontic procedures
- Obtain diagnostic records including X-rays, intra-oral scans, photos, and impressions
- Provide direct chairside assistance under supervision of the orthodontist
- Accurately enter clinical notes in patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment instructions
- Fabricate Essix retainers and complete basic lab duties
- Prepare and document lab cases to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain operatory cleanliness and clinical readiness at all times
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dental assistant licenses or certification
- Minimum 6 months of experience in dental or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of dental terminology, techniques, and procedures
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication and professional demeanor
- Orthodontic experience (preferred)
- Relevant dental assistant licensure (if required by state law) (preferred)
- Experience with digital scanning technology (preferred)
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development (preferred)
