About the Role

Syska Hennessy Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Information Communication Technology (ICT) Group. This role involves supporting engineering teams in designing MEP, ICT, lighting, vertical transportation, and commissioning services for landmark projects worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer.
• Perform CAD/BIM-drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes.
• Coordinate designs with other trades (architectural and engineering / internal and external) under the guidance of more senior technical staff.
• Support the design and engineering efforts of systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement and system upgrades.
• Learn drawing organization and company standards.
• Take ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits.
• Observe and attend project coordination meetings.
• Attend Engineering Development Program continuing education seminars.

Requirements

• Enjoy a team environment and be flexible enough to work independently.
• Be eager to learn and expand knowledge and hands-on experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2+ years of experience.
• Knowledge in the latest version of MEP AutoCAD.
• REVIT experience required.
• Proficient in design and calculation software.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
