About the Role

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Toronto. This role focuses on creating an excellent candidate experience, screening, interviewing, and selecting top talent. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent HR graduate.

Responsibilities

• Manage active candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience from initial contact to onboarding.
• Review resumes, conduct phone screenings and interviews, perform reference checks, collect necessary documentation, and schedule new hires for orientation.
• Build and maintain collaborative internal relationships to understand current and future workforce needs.
• Act as a brand ambassador to enhance our employer brand strategy for hiring and retention.
• Source both active and passive candidates to identify, connect with, and recruit top talent.
• Communicate effectively with active candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive experience.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a high-volume talent acquisition role.
• Basic understanding of the recruitment lifecycle and hiring best practices.
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and eagerness to learn.

Skills

• Bilingual English/French is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
