About the Role

Scale is seeking a Senior AI Product Manager to build and lead the company's Cybersecurity portfolio, defining the strategy and standards for a new product line focused on data, environments, and evaluations for AI security capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap and strategy for Scale's Cybersecurity portfolio, including training data, RL environments, agentic task suites, and evaluation products.
  • Define the capability map for training and measuring AI security, covering vulnerability discovery, patch generation, secure code review, and more.
  • Determine Scale's competitive strategy across the offense-defense spectrum for AI security capabilities.
  • Partner with ML researchers and security practitioners on task specifications, grader design, and verifiable rewards.
  • Drive the infrastructure roadmap for cybersecurity product development, including sandboxed execution and automated verification.
  • Own the responsible-development posture, including containment, coordinated disclosure, and customer vetting.
  • Establish governance for data quality, contamination prevention, license hygiene, reproducibility, and release management.
  • Recruit and manage a contributor network of cybersecurity practitioners.
  • Own external partnerships with open-source benchmark collaborations, academic security groups, and enterprise data partners.
  • Engage with customers to understand their AI security needs and translate them into product roadmaps.
  • Partner with Go-to-Market teams on product launches and thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience in cybersecurity work, such as vulnerability research, fuzzing, exploit development, or incident response.
  • 5+ years in product management, technical program management, consulting, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Understanding of the AI-for-security evaluation landscape and its limitations.
  • Sufficient software engineering depth to reason about code and runtime behavior.
  • Familiarity with AI model post-training and evaluation processes, including agentic scaffolds and container-based infrastructure.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Sound judgment on dual-use questions and a commitment to building defensive AI capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, bias for action, and comfort operating in ambiguous environments.
