About the Role
The Clerk / Receptionist serves as the central communications point for the Department, responsible for receiving patients, preparing documents, coordinating daily scheduling, and patient registration. This role involves significant physician and patient interaction and requires preparing images on CD, digitizing film and reports, and managing radiology reports and correspondence.
Responsibilities
- Receiving all patients and preparing appropriate documents
- Coordinating daily scheduling and patient registration
- Preparing images on CD
- Digitizing film and reports as requested
- Collating, filing, retrieving/mailing radiology reports
- Processing Law correspondence
- Performing duties that cross over several sections within the Department of Radiology
Requirements
- Ability to deal effectively with individuals in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to accurately enter data in computer systems
Skills
- Good written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Good telephone skills
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of basic processing, filing, alphabetizing
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
- Medical terminology
- Bilingual Spanish/English
Education Level
- High School Graduate or GED
