About the Role

Cadence McShane Construction is looking for a Superintendent to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality projects. You will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with preconstruction and marketing teams on project proposals, bid tab evaluation, QA/QC constructability reviews, and preliminary schedule development.
  • Ensure complete understanding of subcontract agreements.
  • Review daily reports for accuracy.
  • Manage site SWPPP.
  • Review monthly owner billing.
  • Track and maintain subcontractor insurance certificates.
  • Manage General Conditions.
  • Prepare for OAC meetings.
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
  • Facilitate weekly CMC project team meetings.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Manage day-to-day activities to meet project milestones and completion dates.
  • Monitor and report on project progress.
  • Ensure work conforms with drawings, specifications, and prime contract requirements.
  • Advocate for quality and adherence to the company’s QA/QC Program.
  • Participate in the development of site-specific safety plans.
  • Champion a culture of safety by driving compliance with the Safety Program.
  • Conduct site safety audits and weekly safety meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to traverse long distances and uneven, unfinished ground surfaces.
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to work on upper floor levels.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
