About the Role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a public school location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school district protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, maintain required activity documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated school personnel.

Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
