About the Role

As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and use computer or tablet systems to document activity and respond to security-related needs. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records in accordance with location requirements.
Observe and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and potential hazards to the appropriate personnel using established reporting procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the chemical and petrochemical location.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
