About the Role

As a Housekeeper, you will create a clean, healing environment that improves the comfort and well-being of residents, guests, and staff. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to earn while learning about long-term care and its career paths. If you are passionate about making a difference through a clean environment and wish to grow your career, join our Housekeeping / Environmental Services team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
  • Dispose of trash and waste
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
  • Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines, vacuums, etc.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
