About the Role
This role is critical in driving value and supporting business goals by optimizing total cost of ownership and minimizing supplier risk exposure through specialized experience in technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with management to proactively develop negotiation and contract strategies for high-risk, complex, and sensitive sourcing initiatives.
- Influence sourcing decisions, drive supplier consolidation, and lead cost savings and cost avoidance outcomes.
- Develop and implement robust strategies to support business objectives that provide cost-effective, sustainable solutions to Canada Life businesses that optimize total value generated from our supplier base.
- Gather and analyze data to create playbooks and strategies supporting various business models for services either contemplated or currently under contract.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
Requirements
- At least 5 years direct experience negotiating technology contracts.
- Experience leading complex projects and supporting the development of strategic programs.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Demonstrated strength in leading multi-stakeholder technology contracts in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving abilities with diverse business acumen.
- Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous work assignments in a high demanding and fast paced environment.
- Post secondary degree and 5+ years in technology procurement, sourcing and relationship management.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
