About the Role

Manages and contributes to the overall success of Foreign Exchange (FX) & Money Market (MM) Operations, ensuring business goals and initiatives are executed in support of team strategies. Ensures compliance with regulations and internal policies. Leads the day-to-day operating model and advances strategic initiatives, business growth, and technology-enabled change.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and drives a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships.
  • Oversees and maintains operational activities and processes for FX and MM.
  • Supports business line operations teams through strategic initiatives and system enhancements.
  • Defines straight-through processing (STP) strategy and leads delivery of STP targets.
  • Provides leadership and oversight for risk and controls within each business line.
  • Drives global standardization across operating pillars through SOPs, SLAs, and process standards.
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Creates a positive environment for engaged teams pursuing effective and efficient operations.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy to attract, retain, develop, engage, and motivate a diverse team.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in capital markets operations, with deep expertise in FX and MM operations, confirmation and settlement processes, controls, and managing operational risk.
  • Proven leadership experience managing global or multi-region operations teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives, operating model optimization and technology-enabled transformation.
  • Demonstrated success improving straight-through processing, standardization and operating efficiency.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across Operations, Technology, Front Office, Finance, Risk and Control functions.
  • Strong people leadership capabilities, with experience building high-performing teams, leading leaders and managing change in complex environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and workflow / operations tools.
  • Experience with data analysis and management reporting is an asset.
  • Spanish language fluency is considered an asset.
