About the Role
The Olympic Club is seeking a Golf Player Development Professional to join their Golf Operations Team. This role involves assisting the Director of Player Development with junior programs and all golf instruction, including club fittings, basic club repair, overseeing the demo program, and marketing instruction programs to members.
Responsibilities
- Assists with all instruction including camps, clinics, personal lessons, and boot camps for Olympic Club members.
- Assists in overseeing, developing, and instructing junior programs.
- Oversees and is responsible for all golf club fittings and club repairs.
- Trains and supervises golf professionals on standards of golf club fittings and basic club repairs.
- Sends clubs out for additional/complex repairs and ensures timely return to members.
- Oversees Club Demo Program including scheduling, communications, and day-of oversight.
- Communicates to membership about instruction programs through regular updates to olyclub.com, blogs, articles, videos, and submissions to Olympian Magazine.
- Abides by all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, Olympic Club policies and procedures, Bylaws and House Rules.
- Maintains regular attendance based on business expectations and needs.
- Performs any other duties as assigned or requested by Club management.
Requirements
- TPI Level 1 certified or able to complete certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Certified Club Fitter.
- Working knowledge of Trackman; able to complete certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Knowledge of V-1 Video Swing Analysis.
- Previous golf instruction experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Experience in website updates.
- Strong English oral and written communication skills.
- Willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
- All employment offers are pending satisfactory results from a background investigation and pre-employment drug testing.
