About the Role

We are looking for an Executive Assistant to support our leadership team and help ensure smooth operations for Wirecutter, a brand millions rely on for product recommendations. This role will enable effective work across a cross-functional organization by managing calendars, coordinating meetings, supporting leadership priorities, and owning operational processes. You will also handle special projects and provide individual support to leaders with external-facing needs. This is an opportunity to gain exposure to various leaders and foster growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate leadership-level meetings, track action items, and anticipate needs.
  • Support the execution of leadership onsites and large meetings.
  • Manage budget and expenses for the Office of the GM.
  • Manage and prioritize complex calendars for multiple leaders.
  • Support leaders with travel and entertainment (T&E) needs.
  • Coordinate logistics for external/client-facing activities.
  • Partner with other administrators for coverage and best practices.
  • Provide day-to-day operational coordination for the department.
  • Maintain operational artifacts like staff lists and org charts.
  • Manage seating assignments and office protocols for Wirecutter's space.
  • Partner with finance and operations on departmental T&E processes.
  • Provide light project management support on strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the 'business operating system'.
  • Build relationships across functions and levels to connect stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate support for journalistic independence and the company's mission.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative, executive assistant, or operations coordinator role supporting multiple leaders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and navigate collaborative environments with empathy, tact, and discretion.
  • Experience managing competing demands with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
