About the Role

This role involves monitoring the performance of portfolio companies, assisting deal teams, ensuring financial data accuracy, analyzing portfolio risk, completing valuation updates, liaising with credit rating agencies, and facilitating investor reporting. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with various internal departments and external service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the performance of 15-20 portfolio companies.
  • Assist deal-teams on assigned investments.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data on an internal platform.
  • Identify and analyze portfolio risk trends.
  • Complete quarterly portfolio account and valuation updates.
  • Liaise with credit rating agencies to establish and maintain credit ratings.
  • Facilitate investor reporting workflows.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Capital Markets, Business Development, Investor Relations, and Operations teams.
  • Work with service providers for tasks such as fundraising and preparing Board of Directors meeting materials.

Requirements

  • Finance or accounting background with strong financial statement analysis skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Collaborative work style with high energy, enthusiasm, and drive.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate views verbally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to deliver consistent, reliable, and timely execution in a time-sensitive role.
  • Fluent in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with valuation methods (discounted cash flow modeling and debt pricing) is a plus.
  • Experience with credit rating processes and procedures is a plus.
  • Experience with data aggregation and reporting is a plus.
  • Experience in private credit or private equity and direct lending strategy is a plus.
  • Experience using iLevel is a plus.
  • Finance or accounting designation such as CFA or CPA is a plus.
  • Understanding SQL, Power BI and Python is a plus.
