About the Role
Abell is seeking a Bird/Wildlife Technician to manage customer territories, provide inspections and treatments, install bird deterrent products, remove small animals, identify bird control issues, and build new business through sales. This role offers a unique career path for individuals with contracting or building experience.
Responsibilities
- Managing a territory of customers
- Providing inspections and treatments to a variety of business ranging from restaurants, food plants, warehousing to office buildings and residential homes
- Installation of Bird Barrier bird deterrent products (netting/gridwire)
- Removal of small animals such as squirrels, raccoons, possums, etc.
- Identification of bird control issues and sale of service to potential clients
- Installation of one-way doors and permanent exclusion techniques
- Building new business through sales with high commissions are paid on new business
- Managing customer needs and optimizing their program on-site
Requirements
- A Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Previous wildlife experience
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Exclusion/General Maintenance Experience
- Customer service experience
- Willingness to obtain your Applicator's License
- Sales experience an asset
- Candidates with prior experience will be preferred, but applicants with the following experience have successful transferable skills and be equally considered: lawn care maintenance, route work, pest industry, general contractor/labourer, construction

- $42,000 - $56,000 base salary, plus commission and incentive bonuses
