About the Role
Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking customer service-driven individuals with good people skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards for a Receptionist Lead/Supervisor role. This position functions as the primary interface between Apple and the Supplier for daily operations, coordinating all required services and ensuring supplier performance.
Responsibilities
- Greet employees and guests, ensuring comfort and connection with hosts.
- Notify hosts of guest arrivals promptly.
- Maintain a guest log and issue badges.
- Perform data entry.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of work areas and equipment.
- Handle guest complaints or disputes.
- Perform filing, sorting, mail distribution, and additional projects.
- Order office supplies, furniture, and electronics.
- Provide assistance with other tasks as they arise.
- Train new hires on BCI and Apple best practices.
- Assist with new hire onboarding paperwork.
- Act as a liaison between Apple and BCI.
- Assist with recruitment.
- Audit payroll weekly.
- Distribute checks as needed.
- Provide guidance and coaching.
- Collaborate with BCI staff on employee issues, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Oversee the onsite reception team (BCI employees only).
Requirements
- 1-3 years of related experience.
- Excellent written, technical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships.
- Ability to prioritize conflicting tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional composure at all times.
- Effective time management, including multitasking, organization, and prioritization.
- Ability to receive and provide feedback.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships.
- Ability to influence others, handle conflict appropriately, escalate issues, and apply common sense.
- Flexibility with last-minute schedule changes.
- Knowledge of Human Resource practices and onboarding.
- Ability to step in and fill a reception seat if someone calls out.
- Excellent judgment to ensure efficient work without constant supervision.
- Familiarity with procedures for handling guest complaints or disputes.
- Ability to apply acquired job skills and company policies to complete tasks.
- Recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
- Reliably commute or plan to relocate to Austin, TX before starting work.
