About the Role
SSOE is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Industrial Facilities Design team's Facilities Battery/Complex Projects Operation projects and Project Management Team. Responsibilities
- Assist Sr. Project Managers and/or Project Manager with day to day project tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules, budgets, etc.
- Assist in preparing project plans, budgets, and control procedures.
- Manage small or low-complexity projects under supervision.
- Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
- Serve as the primary communication link between project teams, consultants, and outsourcing partners.
- Administer projects following established procedures, including construction cost estimating, correspondence, and document controls.
- Communicate client requirements to each discipline.
- Participate in client contact and business development activities.
- Participate in proposal preparation, including leading low-complexity proposals.
- Assist in collecting past due accounts.
- Assist in training other Assistant Project Managers or project team members.
- Attend client meetings to take and distribute meeting minutes.
- Assist in logging Requests for Information (RFI), submittals, filing, and preparing weekly project reports.
- Coordinate meetings and manage document control with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and others.
- Coordinate printing and processing of bulletin and addendum assembly.
- Coordinate printing, assembly, and distribution of construction documents for bids.
- Coordinate the completion and distribution of client as-recorded drawings and project close-out documents.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering qualifying for licensure or an Associate degree in an engineering field is preferred.
- CAPM Certification is encouraged.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Engineer 1 or a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
- Travel required.
- Good facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CADD.
- Valid driver's license required (may be waived for international assignments).
