About the Role
Serve as a high-performing career coach and mentor, helping students and graduates launch successful careers while training and developing other advisors. This role is for someone who has mastered career services fundamentals and is ready to share their expertise.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one career coaching and job search assistance to students and graduates
- Deliver workshops on resume writing, interviewing, and professional development
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities
- Develop a pipeline of qualified job opportunities aligned with graduate skills and training
- Coordinate job fairs, employer visits, and on-campus recruiting events
- Track graduate employment outcomes and maintain contact until successful placement
- Train and mentor career services advisors on best practices and procedures
- Demonstrate mastery of career services policies and serve as a resource for the team
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with accreditation standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support student success
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of career services experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding placement goals
- Strong communication skills--comfortable presenting to groups and building relationships
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others
- Deep understanding of career services best practices and procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to navigate multiple technology platforms
- Results-driven with ability to manage high activity levels and multiple priorities
