About the Role
Lactalis USA is hiring a Building & Grounds Mechanic in Buffalo, NY. This role involves all aspects of building and grounds maintenance, including pipe insulation, plumbing, painting, industrial floor repairs, wall repairs, demolition and construction, building wiring, grounds upkeep, and roof repairs.
Responsibilities
- Painting of buildings and related equipment as needed.
- Perform carpentry tasks.
- Perform masonry tasks.
- Perform all small utility jobs as deemed necessary to support proper building maintenance.
- Remove snow in designated areas in winter months.
- Perform grounds upkeep in summer months: trimming of shrubbery, mowing lawns, and policing of all foreign materials.
- Perform floor repairs using modern epoxy technology.
- Uphold all rules pertaining to confidentiality of information regarding Lactalis products and recipes.
- Attend departmental meetings and in-services as required.
- Perform all duties according to safety standards and as required to ensure the general safety of all other staff.
Requirements
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work required.
- Ability to plan work and work independently is very important.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Previous industrial building & grounds experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
