About the Role

Responsible for coordinating all order processing, expediting, and loading activities on a daily basis, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations with an emphasis on leading and coaching the team and implementing action plans to improve processes and manage daily workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct daily leadership of team members to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the area.
• Build a positive work atmosphere by collaborating with team members and management.
• Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in coaching and mentoring the team.
• Provide input into performance evaluations.
• Direct and coordinate processes to ensure tasks are executed correctly and in a timely fashion.
• Ensure incoming and outgoing materials meet Schluter standards.
• Allocate equipment for the safest and most efficient utilization.
• Prepare and maintain all records and reports regarding activities on a timely basis.
• Review operating goals and standards and monitor achievement.
• Make recommendations to the Shift Supervisor on process improvements.
• Review operations daily to ensure the area is neat and well organized and that damage to product, equipment, and the facility is prevented.
• Cover PTO and call outs within the cell and of other leadership as needed.
• Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed.
• Operate in compliance with Company, OSHA, and other appropriate standards.
• Represent Schluter Systems in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner in all matters.

Requirements

• 1-3 years’ work experience in the warehouse/distribution environment.
• Good communication skills required for interaction with internal staff as well as external vendors and contractors.
• Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Must have responsible work habits with an emphasis on safety.
• Demonstrated skill in leadership, organization, and communication.
• Good attendance is required.
