About the Role
Own design end-to-end for a core area of the Dispatch platform, focusing on custodian and data workflows. Lead the definition of high-impact product experiences, from discovery to delivery. Design complex, data-dense UX for financial advisors and their support teams, making large datasets legible and usable. Integrate new capabilities into existing workflows to ensure scalability and coherence. Shape design integration with engineering and product management through collaboration and prototyping. Contribute to growing design as a function by building foundational structures and advocating for the design system.
Responsibilities

- Lead the definition of high-impact product experiences.
- Design complex, data-dense UX for financial advisors and their support teams.
- Weave new capabilities into existing user-facing workflows.
- Shape how product design integrates with engineering & product management.
- Contribute to growing and advocating for design as a function at Dispatch.
- Build foundational structures for the design practice as it scales.
- Champion the design system.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, UX, or HCI.
- Proven ability to execute high-craft, technically informed solutions.
- Personal track record of shipping complex work end-to-end.
- Portfolio showing comprehensive ownership from discovery through shipped features.
- Demonstrated experience designing complex, data-dense interfaces or workflow tools.
- Meaningful contribution to a design system (components, patterns, or documentation).
- Grounding in facts and principles: plan and run research and usability testing.
- Track record of communicating the 'why' behind design decisions.
- Ability to navigate complex requirements across engineering, product, and business.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Sharp judgment and reasoning from first principles.
- High standard for craft, including spacing, hierarchy, interaction, and error states.
- Bias for action, defaulting to high-quality output shipped quickly.
- Driven and proactive, finding and pushing important problems forward.
- Sharp collaborator with low ego, working tightly with PMs and engineers.
- Ability to give and take feedback with directness and care.
- User advocate, designing from real user needs and bringing user insight into decisions.
- Curious and open to growth, actively building fluency in emerging technologies like AI.
