About the Role
County Waste & Recycling is seeking a safety-conscious CDL Route Driver for our growing team in Montgomery, NY. We offer secure, steady employment in a family atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
- Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
- Perform routine post and pre-route inspections on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers.
- Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or B CDL
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs repeatedly
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
