About the Role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document entries, incidents, and unusual activity.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the shelter location, including interior common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help identify and report potential concerns.
Maintain clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
