About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in Transitional Housing locations. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Provide exceptional customer service and respond to concerns professionally.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a residential shelter location.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, common areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of visitor, resident, and vendor activity.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and policy violations accurately and promptly in required reports and logs.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
